Abstract

The article outlines the results from the 30-year work of the Mathematical Modeling Department, which was established in 1987 within the Moscow Power Engineering Institute’s Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering. The main achievements made by the Department in its education, methodological, and scientific activities are described. The results of individual work carried out with the students specializing in the discipline Applied Mathematics and Informatics are presented, including the achievements made by the students at the municipal and all-Russia academic competitions in mathematics.
